2009 Volleyball Award Winners-
2009 Award Winners (left to right)- Allie Humphrey, Practice Player of the Year; Megan Theis, Miss Offense; Michelle Hanson, Co-Most Improved Player; Justine Banken, Co-Most Improved Player; Jordan Olerud, Team MVP; NOT PICTURED: Lindsay Jacobson, Miss Defense; Shannon Bosek, Most Inspirational
Hey Everybody-
Just got done with our first meeting of the spring- very excited to see all the young women back on-campus and ready to go! Special congratulations to our award winners listed above (I didn't tell them we'd be taking pictures- can you tell who wasn't prepared!?)! We talked about our spring season and our schedule for that. We are planning on hosting an Alumni Match the evening of Saturday, April 10th and we will be hosting our Spring Tournament on Sunday, April 25th, starting mid-morning and going the whole day!
We welcomed two new players to the team, talked about our goals for the spring, the Junior Olympic tournaments we will be hosting (and hopefully making lots of money to help with our New England trip!) and the rest of our fall schedule!
That's it for now-- my wife Natalie has to get to City League Volleyball (I like to call it "old lady league") where she is on a team with Coach P and they are looking to begin the defense of their crown from the fall season!

Did you survive the Holidays?
Well, we are getting back to the office once in awhile, weather and ear infection permitting. Yes, I guess even "grown ups" get ear infections.
Chad has a pretty good to do list for me that I keep procrastinating on....
He has been working hard calling recruits and setting up visits, working on our schedule for next year (including a trip to the east coast!!). In case you hadn't heard the plan is to go to Boston and New Hampshire over Labor Day Weekend to see if Chad has made UMM better then his old Colby-Sawyer team yet. He is also getting the JO tourneys filled for this spring so we can raise money for our trip. He may have an Alumni match date set for the spring, so if there are any alums out there that are interested you should contact him. He is keeping it a secret from me....I think he is afraid I would be too hard on the team if I played.
Good thing it is softball season or I have a feeling I would be busy doing a lot more vb office work!!!
Also- a reminder that if you would like to get email alerts about the blog, sign up on the right.
Later!
