Hello All-
Another BEAUTIFUL day in Morris today on the 2nd registration day for our 2010 entering class. We have 2 more volleyball players on campus today registering (not sure if we can release names of who is coming yet, so I will wait on that for now) and I wanted to give you an update on the Cougar Sports Network for the fall(you can click here to watch some of our archived matches)- At this time, it is looking like we will have every home match (except one) webcast on the Cougar Sports Network!! Thanks for all your feedback last year!

Malinda is a Head Coach!

Hello-
Sad day here in Morris... all of our students are finishing up their finals and heading home/away for the summer. Today is the last day of finals, Commencement is Saturday. Believe it or not I will miss seeing my team!

Also, wanted to let you know that Malinda Prisinger and Colleen Hermes will be graduating Saturday... CONGRATULATIONS TO BOTH OF THEM!

Last, wanted to send Malinda a special congratulations! She has recently been named the head varsity volleyball coach at Wilmot High School in Wilmot, SD. Congratulations to her on that!!

Have a great week and for all you parents that get your daughters home for the summer-- remember to be patient with them (especially for the freshme... I mean SOPHOMORES!) and their new independence!

Intramural Bowling... National Women's Health Week!

Hello-
We had our 2nd to last JO Volleyball Tourney, the UMM Cougar Challenge #9 on Saturday-- 18 teams were here playing on 3 courts in the PE Center and 2 courts in the RFC. Then yesterday we had our Intramural Bowling tourney- the last event of the year for us. I took my wife and kids bowling as well (I had to "supervise" the college students!) and here's a picture of us (and if you look close you can see all my strikes on the scoreboard in the background!).

Also, it is National Women's Health Week (click here to read more about it)-
make sure the women in your life know you care about them and remind them to get a check-up, eat healthy and stay active!

Team Dinner...

Hello all-
Well, the end of the 2009-10 school year is here! Today is the last day of classes, then finals start Monday- graduation is next Saturday! Wow- the years really fly by when you step back to look at them-- Here's a photo from our dinner last night. I was hoping to have them over next week, but quickly ran out of dates and time with other commitments so I let them know at about 1:00 pm they were invited-- We had a couple salads, fruit, grilled chicken and ice cream and brownies (my wife's idea, not mine!).

Rough Job...

Hello-
Posting this blog from the bus full of college students... on our way to the Twins Game- as part of my intramural job I am in charge of a bus trip each year, last year we went to a MN Wild hockey game, today, to see brand new Target Field!! I wouldn't wish this part of my job on anyone, it's pretty rough!!

Finished up our Junior Cougar Volleyball Visit Day yesterday- I thought it went very well! I really enjoyed chatting with the prospective 2011 recruits and their parents throughout the day. We focused on helping them with their college search and educating them on the different steps along the way. I'm excited to see if, a year from now, any or all of them plan to come to UMM!

Junior Cougar Volleyball Visit Day...

Hello-
We are just in the middle of our Junior Cougar Volleyball Visit Day-- going great so far, 5 juniors are on campus for the day, touring, hearing from admissions, financial aid, a question and answer session with our current Cougars and... the unveiling of our 2010 recruiting video (which I hope to have online in a couple of weeks!).
